-Full Professor of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, University
of Brescia;
-Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Brescia;
-Director of the Research Center on Bone Metabolic Diseases and
Osteoporosis;
-past Chairperson of the Department of Biomedical Sciences and
Biotechnologies, University of Brescia.
Research interest:
-central regulation of anterior pituitary hormones, in particular
growth hormone and prolactin;
-central mechanisms involved in pubertal development;
-neuroendocrine alterations during senescence;
-neuroendocrine alterations in experimental obesity;
-role of ghrelin on bone remodelling.
Author of 200 publications on ISI journals and of several articles
on other journals and chapters of book on these topics.
She was a member of the Editorial Board of Pharmacological
Research and the Journal of Endocrinological Investigation.
