Janssen CNS, Division of Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is currently looking for an Area Business Manager in Northern California. This position is responsible for regional management of local patient access to Risperdal Consta in the optimal site of care, ideally the community mental health clinic. Directly supervise Sales Specialists within a defined region. The District Manager has overall responsibility for the development and successful implementation of a coordinated regional business plan with targeted objectives to achieve local access and promote advocacy within the community mental health center infrastructure. These objectives are accomplished through the managing, developing, motivating and compensating of assigned personnel with the proper allocation of resources available. Will effectively partner within CNS Marketing, CNS Sales, Public Sector & Institutional Business Group, Medical Affairs, Region Outcomes and other divisions to achieve business goals. Provide direction regarding Sales Specialists assisting members of sales force., including but not limited to Risperdal Consta access and pull-through. Provide direction to Sales Specialists regarding local, regional and national payer policies; reimbursement regulations and processes (i.e., eligibility and benefit verification, preauthorization, billing, coding, claims, and appeals/grievances); practice management; Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations; OSHA; HIPPA. Provide clear direction within HCC regarding alternate sites of care partnerships and leverage for increased patient access. Guide training efforts partnering with Sales Training so that Sales Specialists can mentor doctors and staff on how to develop and implement an In Office Injection program including overall operations management, scheduling, staffing, pre-authorization, reimbursement, capacity management, inventory management, and injection management. Act as a liaison between sales force and PHS&R to secure local patient access. Qualifications
To be considered for this role, a 4-year degree is required. A BS/BA in business or scientific field or an MBA is preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years management experience, preferably in the CNS disease state, experience selling injectables or familiarity with reimbursement. A proven track record of development of associates, and strong leadership skills are preferred. As well as, a thorough ability to articulate knowledge and understanding of billing and reimbursement requirements, specific to the site of care where Risperdal Consta is being administered. Understanding of Medicare-Medicaid systems is a plus. Demonstrated ability to lead start-up organizations, and navigate ambiguous situations is preferred. Strong understanding and ability to articulate knowledge of a payer environment is a plus. Candidates must have a valid driver's license in one of the 50 United States, and not have more than 2 moving violations in a six month period, or 3 in a 3 year period. Percentage of overnight travel will be approximately 30%.
