part of a settlement agreement with the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners after a case that presented a number of difficult issues
that required consideration of the proper role and limits of innovation and the weighing of the risks and benefits of a potentially
beneficial procedure, rapid opiate detoxification (ROD). There were no findings of fact or conclusions of law.
